Important Dates to Remember:

  • October 4 – Yom Kippur begins at sundown
  • October 10 – Columbus Day
  • October 31st – Halloween

Fall has arrived! Soon we will be experiencing the changing of the leaves into beautiful fall colors. Cooler nights and plenty of pumpkins for carving and pies. It is such a beautiful time to take a car ride out east and enjoy the farm stands.

Resident Edie Reinwald will be filling the vacant seat on the Board. The Board of Directors would like to welcome her!!

The copy machine in the Rec Center has been removed. The parts that are needed to replace and repair are no longer available. Leisure Knoll did not own or lease this machine, it belonged to an outside vendor who, as a courtesy, kept it in place for the residents use. We will not be replacing this machine. Please note that the Administration Office no longer can fax or copy any documents for residents.

All vehicles need to be registered with the Administration Office. If you get a new vehicle, please contact the office so that they may obtain the proper information and schedule a new vehicle tag to be placed on your windshield. Remember, only two tags per household, if more is needed there is a $25.00 fee.
Residents are forgetting to register their new vehicles causing other residents to call the office stating these vehicles are illegally parked. This is also for the safety of the community.

The Board, along with the Administration Office, is hard at work updating the Leisure Knoll Handbook. Once completed it will be distributed to the community.

All “snowbirds” please make sure the Administration Office has your winter address.

When driving at night please be aware that there are residents walking their pets. We encourage all residents to have a flashlight or reflector tape for their protection.

QUESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY….. What is the speed limit throughout the community?

The speed limit is 20 mph. Residents need to be aware of this and inform their visitors. Remember, stop signs are for stopping not rolling through them. Let’s keep our community safe.

Can I post signs on my property?

Only a family name and small resale signs are permitted in the windows. No political signs are to be posted anywhere on your property. This will result in a monetary fine.

New Travel Club

Please join us at our next Travel Club meeting on Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 pm in the Rec Center. We will be introducing a new group of Travel Club leaders, Jeri Bove, Liz Byrne, Maureen Rogers and Marie Russo. Thank you again to Carol Posnack, Ninfa Picone, Diane Roughley and Joan Sele for all your hard work. You are all greatly appreciated.

It’s worth remembering that it is often the small steps, not the giant leaps, that bring about the most lasting change
