The fall season is upon us. With it brings cooler weather, changing and falling leaves, and of course, acorns. It also brings changing of our clocks. Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour, Sunday November 7th – Daylight savings time ends.

The fall can also bring changing weather, which means icy conditions, bitter cold and even snow. As a reminder roads and parking lots can be slippery. Some of you may be aware that local supermarkets like Stop N Shop do and will deliver groceries. For more information you can go online at PeaPod.com. We will provide more information next month.

Signs will be placed in Craft Center and Rec Center bathrooms to remind everyone to turn off lights when leaving.

Reminder: All exterior work on homes requires a permit from the Architectural Committee. If your work requires a permit and you do not obtain one you will be issued a fine. You live here so please follow the rules. All rules are in your Blue Book which can be found in the LKA Handbook.

Dumpster and PODS also require a permit and are issued for two weeks only. If you need more time, contact the Architectural Committee for an extension. Otherwise, you will be issued a fine.

When applying to the Architectural Committee, please make sure you sign the application. The committee needs in detail what work is to be performed and lot plans for all outside work.

There will be a Board of Directors Informational Meeting on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 7:00 pm in the Rec Center. PLC (Perfect Lawn Care) will be there to answer any questions regarding snow removal and lawn issues. Please be respectable to other residents who are there to have their questions answered. A box will be placed in the Rec Center with index cards and pencils so that you may submit your questions to PLC. Remember – this meeting is only for PLC questions and information only.

Bingo has started up again! It will be held on Monday, November 8th and Monday, November 22nd. December’s dates will be posted on the LKA Calendar.

Thanksgiving is upon us this month and there is so much to be grateful for after such a difficult year. Now is the time to reflect on all our blessings. Be kind and patient to one another.

Not what we say about our Blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our Thanksgiving.
