Well, we are in the month of May and spring has come. There are so many good things coming Leisure Knolls’ way.

Covid-19 has kept us mostly homebound this past year. We have not enjoyed any of the clubs that our community had to offer. April 18-24th was National Volunteers Week. We are grateful for all our volunteers and all they do for our community. This community values our volunteers and recognize the power of volunteering. Through their hard work and endless dedication, we are very thankful for all that they do.

The tennis courts will be opened to all residents and their guests beginning May 1, 2021. You do not need a key as the courts are not locked. Please be mindful of the Tennis Club and their playing schedule.

The pool this year will be open from Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 29, 2021 through Labor Day. It is open to RESIDENTS ONLY and we are following CDC guidelines. Masks and social distancing when possible. Please see channel 591 for more information. Hoping for a wonderful pool season.

It is that time of year when residents are considering outside construction on their homes. Please be aware there is no outside construction in the community on Sundays and Legal holidays. All outside work is to be done between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday only. Please do not forget to obtain a permit from the Architectural Committee.

May 19th is the Board of Directors Informational meeting for all residents. Due to Covid-19 and CDC recommendations we are having the meeting in the Rec Center in 2 sessions. The first session will begin at 5:30 pm and the second session at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited at both sessions. Masks and social distancing required.

Are you considering running for the Board of Directors? Being on the Board is an experience unlike any other and truly one you must try. As part of the Board, you will be on the front lines of helping to plan for the future and ensure that our community is working in the best interest of all the homeowners. Think about it! Information will be mailed to all homeowners in June.

I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot: together we can do great things!

LKA ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE

OBTAINING A PERMIT FOR OUTSIDE WORK

INPERSON MEETING

As of May 11, 2021, the LKA Architectural Committee will hold its meetings again in the Craft Center, every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. An appointment is needed for the meeting time. Please call 631-476-3790 for a scheduled time slot (MAXIMUM of 8 appointments per session). We ask that all people please wear masks and adhere to social distancing.

DROP OFF INFORMATION

If you do not want or require an in-person meeting, you can still drop off the required paperwork at 105 Sheffield Drive or at any of Architectural Committee members’ homes. Once the paperwork has been reviewed and if all the information is correct, a permit will be issued and dropped off in the paper tube of your mailbox. This is the same procedure as we have been doing the past year.

If you have any questions, please call John Reppucci at 631-476-3790.
