REMINDERS

Entry Gates are closed from 10:00pm to 5:00 am. During these times, access to the community is from the west gate (Sheffield Drive) only. We encourage all residents to obtain a vehicle tag from the office, which is the easiest way to enter the community. Alternatively, residents may enter the same 4-digit code they use to access the pool, recreation and craft centers. If you are still unable to gain access after hours you should call the emergency number 631-926-7843. Exiting the community during these hours requires no action on your part. Emergency vehicles will be able to enter through either gate.

We have recently heard that a few residents have had an issue with the emergency number, however, the office has not received any calls about this and therefore has no knowledge of any issues. We have tested the number and find it to be in working order. If you should encounter any problem with the gate or the EMERGENCY NUMBER, please call the office on the next business day to report it so that we may resolve it as quickly as possible.

The Recreation and Craft Center hours of operation are 5:00 am until 10:00 pm. You will not be able to access the buildings during the overnight hours from 10:00 pm through 5:00 am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but feel that added security is necessary.

Van Accessible Handicap Parking Spot – Please do not park in the area next to the Van Accessible Handicap parking spot in the parking lot. This is a No Parking Zone. An access aisle needs to be maintained to accommodate ramps or lifts.

Sports Courts will be open for the season on April 1st, weather permitting. The Contractor who installed the courts will be onsite to make minor adjustments which may require the courts to close for a day or two. We will post the dates on Channel 591 once it is finalized.

Spring cleanup will begin around the third week of April, weather permitting. Leaves and debris will be cleared from flower beds, etc. We can also expect TruGreen to be applying the spring application tentatively the week of April 21st. This is subject to weather conditions, and we will post dates on Channel 591 as they are confirmed.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

There is a vacancy on the Board of Directors. If anyone is interested in the position, please send your resume to the Administration Office no later than April 7th.

The Board and our maintenance crew have been working to get our community ready for the spring and summer season.

Landscaping has taken place at the back entrance to the pool. Broken pool furniture has been replaced. A new picnic table has been purchased for the tennis court area to match the one in the pickle ball area. Two umbrellas were also purchased for these tables. We will be taking steps to address some issues at the Bocce courts.

Indoors, the floors in the Recreation Center have been stripped and waxed. The tile floors in the kitchen and all bathrooms in the Recreation and Craft Center have been cleaned and sealed.

The Entertainment Committee is looking for volunteers who are willing to run Thursday Game Nights and Friday Pool Nights this summer. If you are interested, please call the office or contact Director Bobby Delhaye.
