Effective immediately, anyone putting out their garbage in white kitchen garbage bags that wildlife can break open or garbage pails without lids will be fined $100.00. This applies to recyclables as well as garbage.

On April 22nd, the Board welcomed new residents with a cocktail party. Also in attendance were chairpersons of our committees who were available to answer questions from new residents. We would like to thank Board members Joan Haines, Edith Reinwald, and our Office Manager Karen for arranging this cocktail party. The food and decorations were amazing. Kudos!

There will be a Board of Directors Informational Meeting on May 16th at 7:00 pm in the Rec Center. Come and bring your questions.

On May 19th the Board and the American Legion will be co-sponsoring a community information expo called “What You Need to Know”. This event will be held in the Rec Center from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Struggletown BBQ will be parked outside until approximately 2:00 pm that day.

QUESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY –
Who is in charge of the pool during children’s hours?

The lifeguard oversees the pool and the pool deck while he/she is on duty. This includes during children’s hours and non-children’s hours. Please be respectable.

Remember what Memorial Day all is about. It is to honor our fallen men and women veterans. So, when you are celebrating this Memorial weekend, remember someone that you may know and what they have sacrificed for our freedom!

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.
