Spring is here and all of the beauty of nature will follow. Time think about what flowers to plant.

Optimum is in the community laying piping for new cables. That means that roads will be dug up and there might be occasional closures of roads. Unfortunately, LKA does not know when this will happen so please be patient when he surprise road closures take place. Of course, if we are notified, we will immediately let the community know.

If you have a dumpster, please do not fill it to the top with debris. Moving forward, anyone getting a permit for a dumpster will have an addendum attached to their permit stating that the contractor must have a cover for the dumpster. It must b covered at night to prevent debris from blowing out of the top. Dumpster permits are only good for 14 days. If you need to have it remain longer, you must renew your permit with the Architectural Committee.

Starting the week of April 10th, PLC will start their spring clean-up. Leaves will be removed from he flower beds, around shrubs, etc. Tru-Green, our new fertilizing contractor, will be on site April 14th to begin spring applications to the lawns. This is all weather permitting. Information is on the in-house TV Channel 591, and an automated call will be put out to the community as a reminder.

Thinking of running for the Board of Directors? There will be 2 (two) seats up for election this year. If you are interested, please contact the administration office for more information. A resident can run for the board providing they have resided in the community for a year and area member in good standing. A complete information packet will be mailed to all homeowners in June. This is your community, be an active member.

As a reminder: When using the library, please, kindly put puzzles or books back to their proper place on the shelf. All children must be accompanied by an adult while using the library.

QUESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY: Do I need to display my Architectural Permit?

Yes, if you are issued a permit, please display it in the front window or on your door. If you do not you could be fined for not having a permit.

Spring adds new life and new jot to all that is.

Mark your calendar – LKA’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee will take place Saturday, September 30th. We have planned a day of celebration including food and entertainment for adults and children alike that will be held in and around our Clubhouse. We are planning to have food and dessert truck vendors, music, a seated tent area, activities for children, as well as indoor showcases for our clubs and vendors.

As part of our celebration and fundraising efforts, we will be published a 50th Jubilee Commemorative Journal. Vendors have been contacted to advertise in the journal to offset the cost of our celebration. We would like to offer the same opportunity to our residents to purchase a booster, 1/8 page dedication, 1/4 page dedication, half and full page dedication. Please come to the administration office to pick up a sales agreement.
